Privacy overview

This is a plain-language privacy overview for the current cisvbook MVP.

Camp content is private to its members

Approved camp members can see that camp’s participants, memories, comments, and chat. People outside a camp cannot see that camp’s private content.

Profile information

Your profile helps alumni identify you and reconnect. You choose what to share.

• Your display name and avatar are visible to other approved members of camps you join.
• Date of birth and CISV email are optional profile fields. They are not displayed publicly in camp participant cards, comments, chat, or public pages.

Photos and memories

You should only upload photos you are comfortable sharing with approved members of that camp. Camp memories are tied to the camp they belong to and are not visible outside it.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share camp content with third parties.
• We do not make private camp content searchable on the open web.
